Reunification and Family Therapy
Child and Adolescent Counseling
Hi, I’m Noel Scrimo—Licensed Professional Counselor, founder of My Precious Counseling, and a passionate advocate for children and families navigating life’s most tender and challenging seasons.
I specialize in individual, trauma-focused, and reunification therapy for children, adults, and families, helping clients heal, reconnect, and move forward with confidence. With more than eight years of experience supporting children and families, I’ve witnessed the incredible transformation that becomes possible when people feel truly safe, understood, and supported.
I believe healing often begins in childhood. Children are remarkably resilient, and when given the right tools, support, and safe relationships, they have an extraordinary capacity to grow through even the most difficult experiences. Early intervention can shape not only a child’s present—but their future relationships, confidence, and emotional well-being for years to come.
My therapeutic style is rooted in compassion, guided by evidence, and grounded in connection. I take an integrative approach, thoughtfully drawing from evidence-based modalities including reunification and family therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ADHD support, and trauma-informed care.
Whether we are working through trauma, navigating family transitions, strengthening parent-child relationships, or building emotional regulation skills, my goal is to create a space where every client feels seen, safe, supported—and empowered to heal.

Meet Dakara Steele
Hi, I’m Dakara Steele, an Associate Counselor with a passion for helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence, resilience, and support.
With more than eight years of experience in both the mental health field and school settings, I specialize in supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family challenges, peer relationships, and identity development. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative and empowering experience, and I take a strengths-based approach that honors each client’s unique story, needs, and goals.
My clinical training includes trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play-based interventions, mindfulness practices, and family systems therapy. I am also trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), an evidence-based framework designed to support individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts with compassion, safety, and clinical care.
I integrate these approaches to create a safe, supportive space where clients can build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.
My goal is to create an environment where every client feels seen, heard, validated, and empowered to grow. Whether I’m working with a child, teen, adult, or family, I’m committed to helping clients uncover their strengths and move toward lasting healing and emotional well-being.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, staying active, and exploring my creative side through crafting.
I would be honored to walk alongside you or your family on your healing journey.
— Dakara Steele
